Clotho’s Thread

The youngest of the three fates, Clotho spun the thread of life. Her middle sister, Lachesis, measured it and wove it into the cloth of life, and her oldest sister, Atropos, cut the thread at the end of life.

Atalanta’s Apple

Inspired by the Greek myth of the young princess, Atalanta, who resisted following the traditional role of women, this piece depicts the moment when she succumbed to the temptation of the apple thrown in front of her by a racing suitor who eventually won the race and her love.
